GREEN CAP EXTRA • bourbon barrel-aged 10th anniversary special brew

Last spring Green Cap turned ten years old! Of course we had to make a special edition to celebrate this. Brewed with more hops (good ol’ whole-cone Styrian Golding and Saaz), more malt (Maris Otter and Golden Promise) and matured for several months, finishing on oak barrels previously containing Kentucky bourbon. At 8,5% abv it’s a bit stronger than usual, keeping the hallmark floral, slightly peppery lemonbalm/tangerine hop character and crisp bitterness but enriched with notes of honey, oak and vanilla from the barrel-aging.
