Our aim is to enrich the beer culture rather than repeating what other brewers are already doing. We take a lot of inspiration from historical brewing documents and half-forgotten traditions but we also like to make way forward by forging together elements from different beer cultures as well as through pure experimentation.

  • A hoppy session ale for the end of summer. Grapefruit, apricot, plum and raisin interplay with grassy and herbal notes.

    The eighth edition of our La Condition Humaine IPA series is brewed with the experimental US hop variety ADHA-484, which brings aromas of tropical fruits and citrus zest together with some woody notes to this crisp and bitter beer.

  • The third beer in our Monster Soup series is brewed to an original recipe from Simonds Brewery of Reading, UK, dated 1869. The standard bitter from a distinguished pale ale brewer at a time when this type of beer was gaining widespread popularity. Closer to what we’d call an IPA in this day and age, this one’s a golden brew with a predominantly hoppy character. Resiny, floral, orange-like aromas from the unmistakable Golding hop, along with soft malts and some fruitiness lead the way to a crisp and distinctly bitter finish.

  • An ode to British hops. Spicy, floral and woody aroma with overtones of orange marmalade and liqourice toffee, backed by bready, biscuity malt and some fruity esters.

    Brewed to an original recipe from Lees Brewery of Manchester, UK, dated October 19th 1956, this is essentially a pale coloured version of a classic Burton ale. Full-bodied and somewhat sweet, fruity and biscuity with a delicate earthy hop note.

    Brewed in the old tradition of March keeping beers, very strong beers meant for aging, this beer is intensely hopped during 3,5 hours of boiling in our direct-fired copper, fermented in open square to reach beyond 10% ABV and finally matured for more than six months before release. This Burton-style barley wine is a very characterful, rich and complex beer where the malty, hoppy and estery elements are elevated to the max. Best savoured on gloomy evenings by the candle light. Warning: This beer may be harmful to IPA drinkers.
